ABOUT CLINTON KARR

Clinton Karr discovered his passion for public relations in 2003, when he called the Boston Metro to ask if they would interview his non-profit client. By generating coverage to see his smiling executive in print put a smile on his face and a fire in his belly. He has been chasing that excitement ever since then.

Most recently, Karr has managed public relations and communication functions for multiple Silicon Valley technology companies, including Neustar, a billion-dollar information services company; Bromium, the pioneer of advanced endpoint protection; and Zscaler, a cloud security unicorn. His experience includes developing, managing and executing strategic public relations programs across cross-functional teams, generating hundreds of press clippings each year. Reporting into the C-suite, Karr works as a trusted adviser to its officers, who appreciate his sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Previously, Karr worked with LEWIS PR, serving as the foundation of a security practice that earned hundreds of articles for Imperva and FireEye ahead of their IPOs. Additionally, Karr honed his ability for successful company and product launches with repeatable results across multiple technology segments. Karr began his career at Schwartz Communications in Boston, as a member of a security practice that helped multiple clients achieve acquisition, but his proudest achievement was a Newsweek cover story for his pro-bono client, Families for Depression Awareness.

Karr earned his BS in Communication from Boston University College of Communication. In his free time, Karr enjoys camping, cooking and taking walks near Lake Merritt with his fiance and their dog, Oscar.

Testimonials

I hunted Clinton down at another agency when I wanted to grow the security practice at my agency and after I researched who was a top media hound in that industry. Clinton is fearless and relentless and always professional. We worked together for more than two years, successfully launching multiple companies from stealth and paving the path for Imperva and FireEye to IPO. He is dogged and gets results. He would be an asset to any marketing program.
— Lonn Johnston, former president, LEWIS Pulse and Page One PR
While Clinton was at Schwartz, I worked with him on at least four different accounts. So I have a pretty good sense of what he’s all about. If you want someone to deliver media coverage results, count on Clinton. He’s got a knack for learning nitty-gritty technical details and also for endearing himself to clients. I would definitely work with him again!
— Laurie Falconer, former director, Schwartz Communications.
